Week 10 - Wrap Up!
This whole lesson was a big discovery for me! As a new library employee I'm learning every day about the resources available. I really enjoyed learning about new resources that can be used to help not only the library patrons but my family as well. My son used to world book resource to find a science project topic that no one else in his class had found. I will now encourage patrons to use these resources for the research projects.

Lesson 9 - 5
This was kinda fun. I'm moving to Dell Rapids in a week. The house we are moving in was built in 1930 as of the 1927 map the location of our house was a church.
Lesson 9 - 4
Continuing to work on looking for information about my family and their early years in Minnesota I search census records for Minnesota I found the 1880 census where I think its my great great grand father is listed with his wife and five of their children. I may have to invite my dad to town to help me verify some information.
The site seems to be a bit slow at times.

Lesson 9 - 3
I have to agree with this error
Try adding a birth or death date; even a guess might help.
But it did return a list of professional baseball players and school yearbooks just on the first page.
Raleigh Aichison from South Dakota played for the Brooklyn Nationals the photo didn't have a year on it.
A little more information will give you better results.
Try adding a state, province or country in "Lived In (Residence)"Try adding a birth or death date; even a guess might help.

Lesson 9 - 2
I found the census register for 1940 at that time only four of my father's either sibblings were born.
I also found my grandfather's death certificate. I wasn't able to find my grand parents marriage certificate but I wanted to move on. I will probably play with this more when I have more free time.

Lesson 9 - 1
Upon searching for my married name in Ancestry the first return was me down to the apartment number.
I had to see what would happen if I put in my maiden name. I found information for both myself and my husband and the place of our marriage licence it even returned my father's name and my place of birth. Too Cool!

Lesson 8 part 2
CAMIO
1. Paul Ravere
The Bloody Massacre was printed in a news article during the American revolution.
Teaspoon
Sugar bowl and cover
Spoon
Tea urn
Salver
Sons of Liberty Bowl
Teapot
Two handled covered bowl
Sugar urn
there were just on the first page.
2. Sioux
63 works of art ranging from paintings to pieces of clothing and peace pipes.
3. Apparently Thomas Kinkade is not notable enough to be archived, or Terry Redlin
I found 1016 results for Pablo Picasso
4. How would this resource be used? Obviously art students would have the most use of this resource. Not sure how useful it would be in my community.
5. Very cool a great way to narrow down a list of artwork you may be comparing for a class.
